BASIS Research

The aim of the BASIS network is to provide a national strategic focus and direction for infant siblings research, facilitating collaboration between scientists and clinicians interested in the study of infants at-risk for autism in the UK. This is achieved by establishing a national focal point for recruitment, the maintenance of a participant database that can be used by scientific projects affiliated with the network, and through scientific exchange and data sharing.

BASIS provides support for scientific projects once these projects become affiliated with the network. Support requested from the network can fall under the following categories:

1. Recruitment using the Network Database.

2. Assessment using the Network Protocol.

3. Access to existing data from the Network Data Repository.
